A Legend Gone Psychedelic
Having honed his craft in America's folk clubs, Jake Holmes released his debut, The Above Ground Sound Of Jake Holmes, in July 1967. Best-known for including the original version of Dazed & Confused (later immortalized by Led Zeppelin), it's an early landmark in the singer-songwriter genre. His second album appeared in July 1968, and took him in a markedly more psychedelic direction, most notably on the legendary Leaves Never Break.
