Henry Olonga releases Henry Olonga sings classical

Henry first came to prominence as an international cricketer, representing his native Zimbabwe in Tests and one day matches.

When he made his Test debut in January 1995, he was the first black cricketer and the youngest person to play for Zimbabwe.

Henry was forced to flee to England after making a protest against the Mugabe regime at the 2003 World Cup, which was co-hosted by Zimbabwe.

He moved from England to Australia in 2015 and quickly established himself as an inspirational guest speaker.

He also continued his long-held passion for singing and developed his distinctive tenor voice which he had first nurtured at school. This led to performances with the Band of the South Australia Police in 2018.

After a producer saw him singing on Youtube earlier this year he was invited to appear on Channel 9’s The Voice where he wowed the judges and audiences alike.

Henry has recorded two CDs, Aurelia and this latest release, Henry Olonga sings classical
