Awake

Delaraf is proud to announce the release of his new single entitled „Awake“ via VAM-United Records. Delaraf is an young, upcoming music producer, composer and audio-engineer. It’s his first Alternative Single and an interesting combination of Alternative Rock, Synthwave and Future-Bass.
The verses seems to be very simple and almost empty, while the chorus implies to be louder and huge, because of the massive sounding drum fills and the use of many different synthesizer layers. This can be seen as a metaphor for a boring and almost depressing everyday life, that changes quickly into a satisfying experience, because of drug consumption, represented by the metaphorical meaning of the phrase „to awake from a coma“. 
Delaraf composed this song in under one week by working on it continuous every night during a very stressful period in his life. He used that process as some kind of deflection from daily life. 
„Honestly, I don’t see music as a therapy, because especially following your dreams can be even more stressful and depressing than your everyday life, but working on something creative can make you forget all the things that pull you down. Even just for a few hours. That can be really healthy, I guess. If not, get yourself a bottle of gin. I know that alcohol isn’t the answer but come on, it can make your forget the question.“
