Andy Jones - Low ambition local musician

'The best midlife crisis album since any of Phil Collins 80's solo work!'...The Karachi times
Facebook/Andy Jones Singer/songwriter
Proudly introducing the fifth and some might say most daring album of his colorful and varied musical career 'Low ambition, local musician' sets a new standard in wry observation and his take on 'life in the middle ages' is both funny and touching and the same time. Self-penned and recorded with the help of producer Cullum McGee the album pulls no punches and straight from the start gets to the point with a rally call for struggling men and women alike 'Rally to me all ye people of the middle ages' he cries and there the story begins.
Influenced by his particular stage in life and three years on since the classic 'we are gold' which established Andy on the national stage, 'Low ambition' brings together influences from as far reaching and wide as the streets to Balkan folk but connecting all the songs is Andy's unique and charming way of looking at life through honest and comical non tinted specs! Teenage snogging, beautiful fat girls with all their flaws, mid-life crisis and low sex drives are all covered throughout the album so expect to find yourself falling in love at first listen. This certainly isn’t an album that will just pass you by unnoticed.
There's plenty of opportunities to catch Andy over the next few months performing songs from the album, check out facebook/andyjonessingersongwriter for dates. Expect a few 'spit your beer out in surprise moments' if your unprepared.
And btw Everything’s still wrapped up nice and neat in good old fashioned three and a half minute pop songs so even if the message is tough it'll still come sugar coated!
